“Art has always been the raft onto which we climb to save our sanity. I don’t see a different purpose for it now.” Dorothea Tanning

For me, painting is a way to forget life. It is a cry in the night, a strangled laugh.”

George Rouault

“In spite of everything I shall rise again: I will take up my pencil, which I have forsaken in my great discouragement, and I will go on with my drawing.” Vincent Van Gohh

“I cannot expect even my own art to provide all the answers-only to hope it keeps asking the right questions.” Grace Hartigan

“I don’t have a lot of respect for talent. Talent is genetic. It’s what you do with it that counts.”

Martin Ritt

“Words are a form of action, capable of influencing change.”

Ingrid Bengis

Art has been my way of coping for years but the explanation that is capable of influencing change is what drives me. I have dreamt of putting on another show since 2017, but I know now that the action of describing my photography by words would be more influential than answering questions at an art show.

When I started viewing my photographs to see which one’s I would enter into the exhibit. I was hoping there would be a photograph to choose from which I had already framed, but unfortunately, I could not find one. I was only able to select one piece. I believe the best way to choose art or even bring an idea to life is by making the effort to understand the times, “by taking an accurate picture of how people of our era tend to think, behave, and communicate. Then we can have a maximum impact on our culture for Christ.”

The title of the piece I chose is ‘Word Wide Web,’ and it was chosen because of the information you can find on the world wide web. The idea came from my Pastor and this part of his sermon.

A Vision Seen Through God

I

I took this part from the chapter called, “A Vision Seen Through God Pages 44 & 45 of my bibliography “To Far.” Because of the research I’ve done on God’s word over the years.

This is based on a conversation I had with a Christian friend of mine in the Summer of 1991, so that I would be more prepared for a meeting I would have with my girlfriends sister who was a Jehovah Witness and wanted to compare her Bible with KJV. .

The entire International Version underwent three revisions, during which the translation was examined for its faithfulness to the original languages and for its English style.

All this involved many thousands of hours of research and discussion regarding the meaning of the texts, and the precise way of putting them into English. It may well be, that no other translation has been made by a more thorough process of review and revision from committee to committee than the New International Version. Furthermore, there are many people, like John McDowell, who thought Christians were out of their minds. He put them down, and he argued against their faith. He wanted to prove the Bible to be historically untrustworthy. But in his quest, he found and abundance of evidence, evidence that he would not have believed if he had not seen it with his own eyes.

It brought him to the conclusion: if he were to remain intellectually honest, then he had to admit that the Old and New Testament documents were the most reliable documents in all antiquity. In his book titled In More Than a Carpenter, Josh focuses on the person who changed his life – Jesus Christ. It's for people who are skeptical about Jesus' deity, his resurrection, and his claims on their lives.

My mother, continued to tell me that there have been other groups of people who have also spent many hours of review and revision, which have led to other publications of the Bible, and the founders of new dominations. But, again, it was the King James Bible that was used as a foundation for people to use, because it was the standard translation since 1611. There are many Christian scholars who have made it possible for us to have a better understanding of the Word of God, because of the precise way it was translated into the English language, but even still, you have to ask God to show you the full meaning of His word, so that you can live according to His will.

John McDowell wrote “More than a Carpenter” in 1977, which means the research he did was much more difficult to do than it is in today’s day and age, so I challenge you to use the world wide web, and do your own research on God’s word and allow the wisdom and discernment of the Holy Spirit to help you draw an intellectual conclusion with the evidence you find. It could be the difference from spending Eternity in Heaven or Hell, so please take time out of your busy schedules and do the research.

P.S. Check out this short video because I believe it will help you with your quest.
